Supporting professional and aspiring female photographers in the UK
about us

we're stronger together

Women in Photography UK came from the realisation that there is a need for a free support network for women already established in, or embarking on, a career in photography. For the purposes of WIP, we include videography and cinematography under the broader photography umbrella.

Our objectives are simple:

• Advocate for greater parity within the industry.

• Provide peer-to-peer support and mentoring. We’re stronger together.

• Nurture young talent through accessible educational resources.

• Connect companies, brands and institutions with talented women in photography.

• Promote the work and talent within our network through events, publications and speaking opportunities.

Yes, it is a mammoth project, but we think we deserve it, and it is about time we make it happen.

And since we have to start somewhere, phase one is about connecting UK-based photographers through our Instagram @womeninphotographyuk and LinkedIn accounts, starting conversations and growing a genuine sense of community.

Please follow, join the group and get in touch. We're building this together.
